Definition – Users v. Members v. Event Members
There are three types of visitors to our web site, and are classified as Users, Members, and Event Members. Any Visitor (User, Member or Event Member) can access the site anytime and use the information posted to assist them in any way they choose. However, only Members (and Event Members) are able to receive our newsletter, participate in our blog and receive special, discount coupons from time-to-time. As a Member, you have the option to sign up to post your events on our Events Calendar. Becoming a Member is free and painless, so check it out by registering. If you have any questions Contact Us.
Event Member Registration
In the Member (My Account) section, Members can fill out an Event Listing sign-up form for the EventsGateway.com web site. The sign up form will include fields for the Event Lister’s business and contact information.
After a Member submits a registration form for an Event Listing, that information will be held in the admin area until approved by EventsGateway.com (allow up to one week). Anything that will be published to the site by a Directory Member will also require approval by EventsGateway.com. For reasons of protecting the integrity of the web site's content, No auto publishing is allowed.
EVENT LISTINGS
The EventsGateway.com directory is a dynamic, database-driven area of the web site in which health-oriented businesses and service providers can place information about their Events in a directory. Selected Events will periodically be listed on the Home Page as a "Featured Event", using a synopsis of the information provided by the Directory Member for their listing and directing the Users to the detailed Event Listing for more specific information about the Event.
The main event directory pages (or calendar) for each will include titles and minimal information with a link to the detailed event listing.Each event listing page which will then provide:
A Logo or Photo for the Event
Dates & Times & Location1 of the Event
Description of the Event, up to 500 words.
Contact information (Physical Address, Telephone)
Email link (email address)
Web address link (if you have one)
A Google Map link will be created using the address information you provide and made available to any user who sees you and clicks on the Event location.
